Global Trends and the Impact on Local Energy Engineering (May 26, 2015)

May Meeting

Please join us as we return to our regular meetings on May 26th at 5:15 (program starting at 5:30).  Jack Connell, a fellow AEE-NC member of 21 years, will be presenting on the global trends in energy efficiency and how it is shaping the perspective and knowledge of the general public and our customers (more in the description below; this is a reschedule of our snowed out February meeting).  We will be meeting on NC State’s Centennial Campus in Engineering Building 3, classroom 2232 (note students are in that classroom until 5:05).  We will have pizza/drinks for all attending.  Please RSVP to if attending.  Look forward to seeing you all there!

Description: Every day we are reminded of the rate of change in technology and bombarded by information relating to energy and energy efficiency. This presentation will offer some thought-provoking ideas about how energy engineering professionals are in the right place to take advantage of these changes…and how important it is to change our perspective with the changing times. The expression “Think Global, Act Local” applies to your role in the energy efficiency world today, and you will hear specific suggestions of why and how to align with these changes. There are endless resources to help you and your clients/customers better understand what to do – we’ll discuss how to cut through the clutter to get things done.
