 UNC-Chapel Hill: UNC Energy Management is looking for an energy engineer to do in house low cost implementation of energy strategies, primarily through HVAC control systems programming and tuning.  The candidate will also manage future Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC). They are looking for someone who fits into their group and has advanced knowledge of complex HVAC systems and HVAC control systems, primarily Johnson Controls, TAC and Invensys.  This is a difficult skill set to find and they could use your help finding such a candidate.  Please pass the word to those who may be interested.

New project looking for CEMs who would be willing to work on a contract basis work with Federal government on energy management projects at government facilities. This is a nationwide opportunity so there is a need for candidates around the country.  Anyone interested has to have a current CEM and be willing to provide a resume. ONGOING
WRP, Waste Reduction Partners, a nationally-recognized technical assistance program operating in western North Carolina, has opened a new central/eastern office in partnership with the Triangle J Council of Governments. With funding from the State Energy Office and the Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance this office will utilize retired engineers and scientists to provide pro bono technical assistance.

WRP is seeking retired engineers and scientists to perform assessments on waste reduction, energy and water efficiency, and assist with ISO14001 programs at businesses, industries and public facilities in Central and Eastern North Carolina. Volunteers should have industrial or facilities management experience with good communication and computer skills. Volunteer work is part-time, flexible, and provides an opportunity for retired professionals to use their expertise to help their communities. A small stipend is provided and expenses are paid.
