MAY 18, 2010 NC AEE CHAPTER MEETING (Date Confirmed)
Three colleagues from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) will join us for our May NC AEE Chapter meeting to give a presentation on Building Modeling/Energy Modeling. This interactive presentation will explore how design decisions can impact the energy usage of a building. An actual building design is used as a case study. You will be interested in how the results may differ from your intuitive predictions. Presenters include William Smith, PE, and Adam Spach, PE, from Stanford White, and Roger Wood, PE, from United Engineering. All three have a wealth of real world experience with building design, and they share a passion for improving the energy performance of our built environment.
Feedback on our survey indicates that Monday evening meetings are not convenient for members. We have scheduled this meeting for a Tuesday, at 5:00PM, with the program to run from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. We plan to offer the option of attending via webinar, if there is enough interest. Please RSVP to Kathleen or Ralph if you'd like to attend, or if you want to participate via webinar.
