FREE Public Forum on Achieving a Sustainable Energy Future
This Friday, January 15, from 5:00 - 9:00 PM, the UNC Solar Energy Research Center (SERC) will sponsor a public forum on achieving a sustainable energy future as part of its Second Annual SERC Solar Energy Symposium. The Forum will be free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided. The HU bus will run from the Friday Center Park & Ride until 9:56 PM, so it's just a short bus ride from main campus! The agenda includes:

(5:00-8:00 pm) Interactive Displays and Video Presentations on existing Green energy technologies; research in sustainable technologies; local, regional, and national innovation; UNC-CH and Chapel Hill-Carrboro, state and local governments, and the business community. The public will have the opportunity to engage in open discussion with researchers, business leaders and governmental officials on energy issues.

(7:00-9:00 pm) Panel Discussion: An open panel discussion with the public that will explore the transition to a new energy future in science, economics, and policy. Panel members will include leaders from the scientific community, the business community, and local government leaders.
